As an Education Counsellor (Noc Code 41320), you will perform all or some of the following duties:
- Attend educational conferences and workshops
- Supervise teaching assistants
- Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues
- Counsel students regarding personal and social issues
- Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers
- Refer students to other specialized services when required
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops
- Develop guidance and counselling programs
- Arrange for recruitment of graduating students by employers
- Supervise peer counselling programs
Supervision: 3-4 People
Education Requirements: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Terms of employment: Full Time and Permanent
Compensation: CAD $40.25/hourA
