Who We Are:
Greater Victoria-based Roof Rider traces its roots back to 1995 when a local roofing company owner and friend introduced Roof Rider founder Vincent Cummings to roofing.
Vincent worked in the family business Canadian Roofmaster in the late 1990s before completing his Red Seal Certificate, the standard for excellence in Sheet Metal. After broadening his horizons by performing custom sheet metal work, building aluminum boats, and working as a fabricator in Fort MacMurray, Vincent came full circle, taking over the top Roofing Contractor and rebranding it as “RR Roof Rider Ltd” in 2017.
Under his leadership, Roof Rider brings an ironclad commitment to quality and transparency, intending to deliver the highest standard of work at fair prices.
Duties:
Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
Install sheet metal flashings;
Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools;
Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel;
Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions;
Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level; and
Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in shingle roofing is required
Education: Some secondary school
Valid driver's license
Ease of lifting up to 100 pounds.
